EQUITY TECHNICAL WEEKLY REPORT | STOCK MARKET TIPS

NIFTY 50 8086.80 (-27.50)(-0.34%)
On Monday, The Nifty saw a sharp upside rally of 80 points from a low of 8066.5 to make a high of 8146.5 and finally closed nearly 12 points higher at 8126.9 with gains in different sectors. However, banking shares led by state-run State Bank of India (SBI) were under pressure after the Reserve Bank on Saturday introduced an incremental cash reserve ratio (CRR) of 100% for the fortnight to absorb the surge in liquidity in banking system following demonetization of high value notes. On Tuesday, Market close on a positive note nifty moved a sharp upside rally of 69 points and made a high at 8197.35. On Wednesday, Nifty continues the follow buying trend nifty saw an upside rally of 82 points and closed above 8224. On Thursday, Nifty opened at 8252, above its previous day's high of 8234. After testing the same level in the first 15 minutes it experienced a selloff of 65 points from a high of 8250 to make a low of 8185. Nifty finally closed nearly 33 points lower at 8192. We had recommended on last week research report (see our weekly report 28 Nov to 2 Dec) [we advised to if Nifty future Buy above 8150 target will be 8300-8400. OUR 1st TARGET ALMOST ACHIEVED ON THURSDAY 1 DEC 2016 NIFTY MADE HIGH AT 8272.5] On Friday, Market was highly volatile with the Nifty indices breaching crucial psychological levels of 8,100, respectively; amid brisk selling on the Frontline blue chip counters. The Nifty50 (spot) opened the week at 8080.65, made a high of 8250.80 low of 8066.50 and closed the week at 8086.80. Thus the Nifty closed the week with a losing of -27.50 points or -0.34%.

NIFTY 50 8114.30 (40.20)↑(0.50%)

The proceedings for the week began Volatility were witnessed there in the market on the first day of expiry week. The market fell down and nifty traded below 8000 made a low at 7916.40 on Monday. On Tuesday, Market was still volatile. The only positive is that it was still in the green zone. Nifty takes support at 7925 to close above 8000. We saw pullback rally in the last hour of the trading session. On Wednesday, The Nifty has taken strong support 7925 to close at 8033. On Thursday, The Nifty saw a range movement between 8080-8130. The Nifty Daily candle chart shows bullish engulfing patterns that indicate a bullish reversal. In Market, huge volatility we saw due to expiry of November series derivative contracts.  On Friday, the December derivatives series began on a positive note due to Positive global indices, rupee appreciation and also steel makers extended gains after the government imposed anti-dumping duties on some imports lifted the Indian stock markets. Nifty made a high at 8122.25 and take a resistance level at 8150 and close at 8114. The Nifty50 (spot) opened the week at 8102.45, made a high of 8122.25 low of 7916.40 and closed the week at 8114.30. Thus the Nifty closed the week with a gaining of 40.20 points or 0.50%.

Equity (Nifty) Technical Report (17-21Oct)


This week's markets open with a positive note and Nifty managed to close above its crucial psychological of 8750. The Nifty closed with a gain of 11 points at 8708.80. On Tuesday and Wednesday was Market holiday due to Dussehra and Muharram. On Thursday market opened in red and markets fall sharply. Nifty closed with a loss of 135 points at 8573. It opened at 8672, hit an intra-day high of 8682 and low of 8541. We had recommended on last week research report (see our weekly report 10 Oct to 14 Oct) (we advised to Nifty future sell on rise around 8670 target will be 8550-8450). Our target achieved on 13 Oct Nifty future made a low at 8551. On Friday, the last Trading day of the week; the market is showing correction. A Market opened in green after massive cuts yesterday and also rebound in Asian markets. Nifty jumped 10 points to close at 8583. The Nifty50 (spot) opened the week at 8735.35, made a high of 8745.80 low of 8841.35 and closed the week at 8583.40. Thus the Nifty closed the week with a losing of -114.20 points or -1.32%.

Equity (Nifty) Technical Report (10 To 14 Oct)

NIFTY 50 8697.60 (86.45)↑(1.00%)

This week markets open with a bullish note. Nifty ended the day at 8738.10 up by 127 points against the Friday’s closed. On Tuesday, The markets reacted positively at the closing hours. The Reserve bank of India announced its decision of slashing repo rates by 25 basis points. The central bank has reduced the key lending rate to 6.25 % from the earlier 6.50 %. The nifty closed with a gain of 31 points at 8769. On Wednesday, The market erased its gains initial gains and was trading marginally lower due to weak Asian cues. The Nifty was a take critical level of 8800 resistance. The Nifty closed with a loss of 25 points at 8743. On Thursday, Market was consolidated. the Nifty closed below its critical psychological level of 8750. The Nifty closed with a loss of 34 points at 8710. On Friday, Market was range-bound session 45 points lower and the Nifty settled below the crucial 8700 level. The NSE Nifty closed with a loss of 12 points at 8698. The Nifty50 (spot) opened the week at 8666.15, made a high of 8806.95 low of 8635.00 and closed the week at 8697.60. Thus the Nifty closed the week with a gaining of 86.45 points or 1.00%.

As BREXIT Fears Fall NIFTY Reached At 8 Month's HIgh


Nine sectoral indices on the BSE also posted their best quarterly performance since June 2014
Since 2014, Nifty, Sensex Climbs at Highest Quarterly Gains.

On Thursday  National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) benchmark equity index Nifty closed at an eight-month high.  With the gain in Asian markets and BREXIT fear waned, foreign investors are attracted due to stable macroeconomic situations.

The Nifty and Sensex declared their highest quarterly gain since 2014, when the current prime minister shri Narendra Modi took charge. In this period Nifty and Sensex gains 7.1 and 6.54 respectively.

BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange ) also posted their best quarterly gain since 2014. 
Larsen & Toubro Ltd and NTPC Ltd gained the most in the quarter 23.02% and 21.43% respectively.

On Thursday, Sensex gained 259.33 points. 

The BSE mid-cap index rose 1.26% to close at a record high of 11,717.22 points, while BSE small-cap index rose 0.94% to 11,801.32 points

Deven Choksey, group managing director and KR Choksey Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd said that "Emerging markets packs, including India are showing good amount of resilience from Brexit. Money is bound to flow in places where there is growth"

Choksey also said that "Britain will require other trade partners after departure from EU (European Union), and in Asia, India is a preferred choice".
Market was choppy in late trade on Thursday due to expiry of the monthly derivatives contracts, but the traders seem to be taking bullish bets as the market enters the July series of derivatives contracts.

BSE realty index and BSE power index were the top gainers, as they rose 2.39% and 2.19%, respectively.

Only two of 30 Sensex stocks closed in the red on Thursday. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd and NTPC topped the gainers’ list, with a 3.38% and 3.17% rise respectively.
